Ideas

Police:
Police shop (flag) at NVPD station. Police have start cash so they can buy jeeps for 300 or hummers for some more... like 1000 or 1500. Choppers for 3k...
No vechicle respawn. So no more disappearing jeeps while you are forcing around. Police stuff would have lock/unlock option, so no silly thief.

more crazyness:

  • prob the best would if ppl could lock their cars too not just cops, but the locks could be picked (in 30,60s or something)

  • ability to hand over money to anyone

  • police could check IDs - for example: get info of what cars do that certain person own, etc.. (what else?) (how?)


jobs
  • salvager: earn money by salvaging destroyed vehicles

  • medic: earn money by healing ppl (action attached to the medic like "Heal for 50$"(??) / walk up to dead ppl and revive them(??) (so no auto-respawn)

  • bus driver: stopping at busstops (for ~10 sec) activates a trigger and money gets transferred to the busdrivers account (pro: ai busdriver will no longer crash into ppl on the road. con: psycho busdriver can cause mayhem)

  • taxi driver: simply take ppl to places. driver himself decides for how much(?) passenger simply hands over the fare.

So what if medic guy gonna be dead or in jail?

And also taxi driver script is no possible. Or taxi car would work as some ATM, pre-paid, you would have options to transfer 50,100,200,500 to taxi guy. No idea how to do it with hard cash.

1st: this wouldnt be with hard cash
if ppl could hand over money to eachother, anyone could be taxi driver and it wouldnt need any script
simply lets say theres a taxi driver, and a passenger. the passenger tells the taxi driver to take him from the airport to petrovice. the taxi driver says "ok it will be 100$". when they arrive, the passenger simply hands over the money. (or runs away without paying Smile then the taxi driver calls the cops or w/e)

job to do would be collect dead bodies and transport em to cemetery. He would get 1000$ for one dead body.

moar roles, for example - player without any role, regular civillian should be good
gate picklocking
and maybe some random civillian AI's walking/driving around

random civs walking around would be ok.
but if we would have ai using cars and lets say police sets up a random roadblock - ai cars would go insane as soon as they reach the roadblock, taking the attention of the cops away from potential threats

players could start without a role if we could set up a system where people can apply for jobs / quit them. but if everyone has a default job except certain people, those ppl would most likely go to the bank at the start and rob it

it has some nice stuff in it but its made for single player, written in czech, and its full of bugs and zielony chleb

he was just trying to get it made mp compatible (i keep in contact with him - volunteered to help) but came to the conclusion (the original mission maker advised this too) that it would be easier to write a totally new mission as this one is written in czech and we dont understand any chleb from it; and he's considering moving the project to arma.

but anyway that's all offtopic.
we of course appreciate your time mr ozelo, the king of chlebs for posting here Very Happy, fta surely has some nice features that are worth considering to be implemented in nogville

Maybe this will be not an offtop:

Courier Job:
Guy with truck get's simply orders to "transport package" from "RandomPointA" to "RandomPointB" (example: from Bank to Airport). His payment may depends on distance.

Roadside Assistance:
Broken car? No problem! We will fix it!
Works in almost same way as in NogovaGP. When sit in car player use menu action "Call help" (or whatever). Script check if he has enough money on account and after determined time spawn 4 guys around vehicle. Guy1, guy2, guy3, guy4 action HEAL. Car repairs. Money disapear from account. deleteUnit guy1, guy2.... Player can continue his ride.

Special Events:
Every ingame-hour there is 5% (for example) chance special event happens. There can be many kinds of events but I though about one.
VIP (for example high police officer) is spawned on airport. He is in car with his driver. They are moving to PoliceStation. If they reach this point cops gets money bonus. But mafia will get much higher bonus if they don't. When mafia kill driver and there will be no policemen around, VIP will join their group. Now they can take him to hideout. If they do that... just look at the account (police high rank officers are well paid hostages). If police catch (or just kill) them on way to hideout brave officers get high (but not high as mafia) bonus too.

I know it is easier to say then to do something.
Anyway I like Nogville not so much but I see that other ppl enjoy it so i though pure ideas may be useful too.

and yes it is easier to say something than do something, but this thread was made for that purpose, so dont hesitate when having an idea

we were thinking of having car repairmen (not ai) who could fix broken-down cars using the action menu, and the car's owner would simply hand him over the money (if we could set up a working money system like that <- top priority issue). repairmen could also salvage wrecks and get paid - just like in mf

the other two are nice too, we haven't thought about anything like those yet
